Artist Bio
I live and work in my studio along the Ohio River
near Louisville, Kentucky. My beginnings in art were as a painter, but
I later found my way to clay and received a Masters in Ceramics from
the University of Louisville under the esteemed functional potter, Tom
Marsh. I have been privileged and grateful to have enjoyed making my
living as a potter since 1985, exhibiting nationally in galleries and
juried art shows throughout the country.
Making
pots has been a consuming passion throughout my career. For the past
few years, my focus has been on functional ware used for the table in a
“gathering” environment centered around food. Baking dishes,
individual serving pieces for special events, and altered teapots are
favorite forms as well as one-of-a- kind sculptural vessels.
