Kentucky Mudworks is more than just a source for supplies and pottery. We provide several different services to suit your needs.
KILN FIRING SERVICE
Do you have special projects, oversized sculptures, or don't have a kiln? Well, we have four of them! Just bring in your pieces, tell us what kind of clay and glaze you are using and we'll fire it for you. Here are the rates:

$.04 per cubic inch for bisque (cone 06) and $.06 per cubic inch for glaze (cone 6). The cone six fee includes the use of our cone 6 studio glazes as well.

KILN REPAIR SERVICE
We are trained to repair SKUTT, OLYMPIC, L&L, and SHIMPO Kilns. Older brands such as
Duncan and Cress can also be repaired here in our shop.
GLAZE MEASURING AND MIXING SERVICES
We will measure and mix your glaze recipes for you in small or large batches. If you are looking to try some new glazes and don't have a scale just bring in your recipe and we'll make a test batch or full batch for you. The measuring and mixing services are separate.
Glaze measuring fee: $15.00 per 5,000 grams
Glaze mixing fee: $15.00 per 5,000 grams
Test Batch Measuring fee: $5.00 per 454 grams
Test Batch Mixing fee: $5.00 per 454 grams
